BEMIDJI -- Sanford Bemidji is hosting a free Survivors of Stroke support group from 2:30 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, in the Education Center conference room at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center,1300 Anne St. NW. Attendees do not need to register ahead of time.

This month, behavioral health professionals Anna Chock and David Berg will discuss several of the mental health aspects related to strokes, including understanding brain injury and its effect on personality, social interaction, and dealing with frustration.

The Survivors of Stroke Support Group is for those who have experienced a stroke, as well as for their support person and/or caregiver. The group meets regularly on the fourth Tuesday of every month. For questions, leave a message at (218) 333-5856.
