Sanford to host free weight management classes

BEMIDJI -- Sanford Bemidji is hosting a free, seven-week weight management class focused on leading a healthier life through lifestyle and nutrition changes. The classes will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., every Friday, March 1 through April 12, at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center, 1300 Anne St. NW, in the Education Center.

The classes, led by Sanford Bemidji Weight Loss management physician, Dr. Judith Mills, will address nutrition’s role in managing and reducing symptoms of chronic health issues, dealing with cravings, understanding food addiction and more, a release said.

Participants will learn about food selection, develop strategies for change and receive group support to help keep them motivated.
