Ruth Wilhelmina Dale, 91, of Bayfield, Wis., formerly of Bemidji, died on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at Northern Lights Health Care Center in Washburn, Wis.

Ruth Wilhelmina Dale, 91, of Bayfield, Wis., formerly of Bemidji, died on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at Northern Lights Health Care Center in Washburn, Wis.

A private family graveside service and burial will be held at a later date in Wanamingo, Minn. The Bratley Funeral Home of Washburn assisted the family with arrangements.

She was born on May 2, 1915, to Ernest and Joyce (Mathieu) Anderson, in Crary, N.D. In September of 1938, she married Stanford Dale in Northwood, Iowa. He died in 1970. She was a retired registered nurse with special training in X-ray. She and her family were residents of Bemidji from 1952-1957 and she worked as a private duty nurse in the local hospital. She ended her career as a nursing supervisor at the Willmar State Hospital in Minnesota.

She enjoyed gardening, reading, knitting, travel and spending time with family. She moved to Bayfield in 1976.

She is survived by her daughter, Judith of Sisters, Ore.; sons, Stanford of Minnetonka, Minn., Richard of Bayfield and Ernest of Hampton, Minn.; and 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
