Robert Duane Hawes, 76, of Kelliher, died Thursday, March 9, 2006, at Bigfork Valley Hospital in Bigfork, Minn.
A funeral will be at 3 p.m. on April 1, 2006, at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Blackduck with Rev. Richard Stagg officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Lakeview Cemetery in Blackduck.
He was born on March 23, 1929, to Harold and Dorothy Marie (McDaniel) Hawes, in Bemidji. He attended school in Pomona, Calif. He worked for several places in the food industry over the years and in several states. His wife, Agnes, whom he married in Bemidji, preceded him in death.
He enjoyed fishing and traveling. He lived in the Kelliher Care Center for the last eight years.
He is survived by his brothers, Don (Charlene) Hawes of Tulsa, Okla. and Richard (Mary) Stagg of St. Peter, Minn.; a sister, Genevieve (Ben) Bradseth of Tenstrike; and five nieces and two nephews.
