An investigation into a late-night robbery on Feb. 27 resulted in one man being charged with methamphetamine possession.

Just prior to midnight on Feb. 27, Beltrami County Sheriff's deputies and Bemidji Police officers were dispatched to Perkin's restaurant on a report of a robbery. The caller stated that two suspects wearing dark winter coats fled on foot, running north, according to the criminal complaint.

Upon arrival, the officers saw two individuals running toward Ridgeway Apartments. Several people in the Ridgeway parking lot fled in different directions when officers arrived on the scene.

Officers apprehended one man, 18-year-old Cleveland Allen Harrison of Cass Lake. Officers took Harrison back to the Perkin's restaurant, but the restaurant employee could not positively identify Harrison as one of the theft suspects, the complaint stated.

Harrison was arrested for fleeing a police officer on foot and transported to the Beltrami County Law Enforcement Center. During the booking process a plastic bag containing a small amount of methamphetamine was found in Harrison's possession, according to the complaint.
