Police report
The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:
Assault
11:38 p.m. Sunday, 2800 block of Ridgeway Avenue Northwest. A Bemidji woman reported that she had been beaten up inside her apartment. Several people fled the scene. A juvenile female was arrested and taken to Northwest Minnesota Juvenile Center.
5:48 a.m. Saturday, 2800 block of Ridgeway Drive Northwest. The victim, a man, reported that he had a dispute with another man early Saturday morning. The victim had left his keys at the other man's residence and went home to bed. The victim reported that he woke up when the suspect hit him in the face with a wrench. The victim struggled with the suspect, according to the police report, and wrested the wrench away from him. The suspect reportedly fled. Police found a chrome vanadium wrench with blood on it in the victim's residence and the victim with an impact mark from above his right eye, across his nose and down his left cheek and lip. The victim was taken to North Country Regional Hospital where he was treated and released. The victim identified the suspect. Charges are pending.
