The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:

Assault

9:21 a.m. Monday, Grange Road Northwest. A 17-year-old male reported that he was assaulted with a booze bottle on Sunday. He said that in the early morning hours, he and a friend were playfully wrestling outside a residence. He said the 17-year-old female suspect apparently thought the fight was serious and struck the male over the head with an empty bottle. He suffered cuts on his face from the incident.

Weapons offense

4:07 p.m. Tuesday, 6700 block of Radar Road Northwest. Deputies responded to a report of an assault with a weapon. At the scene, a woman said that she and two other men went to a residence to repossess motorized items. As they were loading items onto a truck, a man allegedly came out of the residence with a firearm. A witness said the man did not point the firearm at anyone, but that he waved it around and told them to get off his property.

Theft

4:34 p.m. Tuesday, Bemidji Middle School. An individual reported the theft of items from a locker. Stolen items were a gray Nokia cell phone valued at $75, South Pole jeans valued at $65 and $10 in cash.

The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:

5:03 p.m. Tuesday, 600 block of 21st Street Northwest. Medical call.

9:45 p.m. Tuesday, Holland Road. Public assistance call.

8:50 a.m. Wednesday, 400 block of Beltrami Avenue. Firefighters were called to check on a gas smell. The call was unfounded.
