The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:

Fight

12:41 a.m. Saturday, 900 block 30th Street Northwest. Officers responded to a physical fight between two women and had to separate the two. After questioning and an alcohol test, one of the women was arrested for violating her probation's no use condition. No assault charges were filed.

Vehicle theft

4:26 a.m. Sunday, 1000 block Minnesota Avenue Northwest. A man reported his mother's ex-boyfriend stole his mother's vehicle while she was out of town. He said his sister went off with the suspect. Officers talked with the mother who confirmed nobody had permission to take her car. On Monday morning, an officer spoke with the mother's daughter who said the car was stolen while she and the suspect were at the Palace Casino.

Theft

1:43 p.m. Saturday, 2100 block Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. A man reported someone stole the license plate off his car.

7:43 p.m. Saturday, 300 block 11th Street Northwest. A woman reported the theft of her Dell laptop computer, valued at $500, from her bedroom.

Burglary

8:21 a.m. Saturday, 600 block Stone Lake Road Northwest. A man reported someone entered his garage and went through two vehicles and some cabinets. He does not believe anything is missing.

9:33 a.m. Saturday, 500 block Stone Lake Road Northwest. A man reported someone went through his garage and vehicles. Nothing appears to be missing.

Theft

6:56 a.m. Saturday, 6100 block Grange Road Northwest. A man reported someone entered his vehicle and stole a radar detector, cell phone cord and about $5 in change. There was no damage to the car.

9:59 p.m. Saturday, 4000 block Long Lake Road Northwest. A man reported the theft of an Xbox 360, PS2, several games and related gaming equipment valued at approximately $1,100. He believes it was taken sometime between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday.

Dead body

5:48 a.m. Saturday, Beltrami County. The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office 911 Communications Center received a call advising that James Patrick Guernsey, Jr., 27, had been found unresponsive and not breathing at a residence in an area located in the southeast corner of Beltrami County. The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office, Leech Lake Tribal Police and the Leech Lake Ambulance Service were dispatched to the scene. Guernsey was transported to the Cass Lake PHS Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Subsequently, a standard death investigation is being conducted and results are pending after an autopsy is completed.
