BEMIDJI -- Several programs and special events will take place at Lake Bemidji State Park, 3401 State Park Road this week. All events are free but vehicle permits are regularly $5 for a daily permit and $25 for an annual permit.
Wednesday
10 a.m. Mother Monarch’s Story Time at the Playground Theater.
2 p.m. Geocaching the Wild at the Visitor Center Patio.
7-9 p.m. Pontoon Tour of Paul Bunyan’s Foot Print at the Marina. Sign-up is required at the park office or by calling (218) 308-2300.
Thursday
10 a.m. Limnology 101, Pontoon Tour at the Marina.
7 p.m. Birding Before Bedtime at the Visitor Center Patio.
Friday
10-11 a.m. Dock Fishing at the Fishing Pier.
2:30-3:30 p.m. Busy Bee Buildings at the Visitor Center.
7 p.m. Explore the Mississippi River at the Marina. Seating is limited, so sign-up is required at the park office or by calling (218) 308-2300. Participants must check in at the park office by 6:45 p.m. to avoid losing their seating.
Saturday
