Phyllis A. Malbraaten, 78, of Laporte, died on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Golden Living Center in Walker.
A funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Laporte with Rev. Warren Broughton officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at the Thomas-Dennis Funeral Home of Walker and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Burial will be in the spring in Guthrie Cemetery.
She was born on Dec. 18, 1928, to Albert and Alma (Ferguson) Lembke, in Walker. She attended and graduated from Walker High School. On April 24, 1960, she married Orville Malbraaten and they made their home in Laporte.
She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her dogs and being involved with her church.
She is survived by her husband; brothers, Kenneth (Della) Lembke of Walker and Bill Lembke of Cass Lake; and sister, Darlene (Wallace) George of Crystal, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Fremont "Bud" Lembke and Fritz Lembke.
