Brady Fairbanks scored 27 points and added 11 rebounds on the court of his future team as the thin Cass Lake-Bena boys basketball team held off Walker-Hackensack-Akeley for an 85-69 win Tuesday night at the Bemidji State University Gym.
Fairbanks, who gave a verbal commitment to play for BSU next season, and the Panthers had their home game switched to BSU because a water pipe burst Monday at CLB High School causing minimal water damage to the gym floor.
The location has yet to be determined for CLB's scheduled home game with Clearbrook-Gonvick Friday.
CLB (21-1) played without Joel Salscheider who was ill. Nate Salscheider played after sitting out the Panthers' last game with the flu and Travis Huesers reportedly played in Tuesday's win with flu-like symptoms.
Despite playing at less than 100 percent Nate Salscheider netted 22 points and Huesers dished out 12 assists. A healthy Martin Wind added 17 points.
