Painting and planting: Audubon Society and Headwaters School team up for planting event

Lincoln Headbird, 3, paints a stepping “stone” that will be included in a garden at Headwaters School of Music and the Arts during a planting event Monday at the school.

The Mississippi Headwaters Audubon Society and the Headwaters School of Music and the Arts hosted the event to teach attendees about native plants beneficial to birds and pollinators in Bemidji’s downtown urban landscape.
