Open Hearts for Haiti will be collecting items during several Bemidji State University sporting events this week. Donations can be made at the following events:
- Track and Field Event, 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Gillett Recreation and Fitness Center.
- Women's Hockey, 2:07 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, John Glas Fieldhouse.
- Tennis, 7 p.m., Friday, Gillett Recreation and Fitness Center.
- Men's Hockey, 7:35 p.m. Friday, John Glas Fieldhouse.

- Women's Basketball, 2 p.m. and Men's Basketball 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 20, John Glas Fieldhouse.
- Women's Hockey, 2:07 p.m. and Men's Hockey, 7:05 p.m. Saturday, John Glas Fieldhouse.
- Tennis, 6 p.m. Saturday, Gillett Recreation and Fitness Center.
- Tennis, 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, Gillett Recreation and Fitness Center.
The donated items will be transported to Florida and in May they will be transported with Milien and other representatives of the BSU Athletic Department to Haiti in May.
Cash contributions and donations of frequent flyer miles will also be accepted to help cover the cost of packaging, shipping and travel to Haiti.
