Sen. Barack Obama will speak at the North Dakota Democratic convention April 4, according to Jamie Selzler, the party's executive director.
Obama is vying for the Democratic party's nomination to run for president this fall and easily carried the state's caucus last month.
The state party announced about two weeks ago that they hoped to lure Obama, who leads in delegates for the nomination, for the convention April 4-6 in Grand Forks.
Selzler confirmed Obama's visit Wednesday afternoon.
