Thin ice in subzero weather? Blame fish
WASECA, Minn. (AP) -- Despite recent subzero temperatures, thin ice on Lake Elysian has caused several vehicles to fall into the water -- and authorities are blaming the fish.
Waseca County Chief Deputy Brad Milbrath said pockets of carp are wearing down the ice. So far, two pickup trucks and two four-wheelers have fallen through the ice where carp have pooled and caused the ice to thin out.
