Muriel M. Gould Larson, 89, of Brainerd, died Sunday, April 13, 2008, at Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd with the Rev. Roger Marks officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.

She was born Dec. 3, 1918, to William L. and Ada B. (Reynolds) Peters in Bemidji. She worked as a cosmetologist in Bemidji and Brainerd. She was an active member of Al-Anon and the Minnesota Beauticians Association and was a volunteer at the Brainerd Regional Human Services Center for 20 years.

She is survived by her sons, Charles Gould of Eden Prairie, Minn.; and William Gould of Brainerd; stepdaughters, Carol (Alfred) Olson and Madeline (Gerald) Boyle; stepson, Terry Larson; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur J. Gould and Leonard P. Larson; a daughter, Julie Ann Gould; parents; and sisters, Mildred Slough and Marjorie Olson.
