FOXBORO, Wis. -- A Foxboro man was killed early Sunday when his motorcycle struck a cow in rural Douglas County, the Wisconsin State Patrol said.
Authorities said Daniel Scott Russell, 51, sustained severe head and internal injuries in the collision, which occurred just after midnight at the intersection of county roads A and C, a few miles south of Superior, Wis. city limits.
Russell was taken to Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, where he was later pronounced dead. A passenger on the motorcycle, 52-year-old Sandra Jean Carlson of Superior, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
