A 20-year-old Minneapolis woman was taken into custody Sunday in Cass County and is being held in connection to a shooting that wounded Leonard F. Boyd.

The 19-year-old man was taken to a Fargo Area hospital after authorities discovered suffering from a gunshot wound to the head him around 6:45 a.m. Sunday inside a rural Cass Lake residence according to a report from the Cass County Sheriff's Office.

On Tuesday, Boyd, who has no known address, was listed in critical condition, according to Cass County Sheriff Randy Fisher.

Fisher would not divulge what the woman in custody would be charged with, but he said investigators believe she was with the gunman at the time of the shooting.

The individual responsible for the shooting has not been apprehended, Fisher said, adding that "Law enforcement is still talking to witnesses, and the investigation continues."
