The town council in Castle Rock, Colo., voted Tuesday night to hire David Minke as the assistant town manager. Minke is currently the city manager of Bemidji, a position he has held since 2002.
He is expected to officially submit his resignation to the city today. City statue requires that a city manager give at least a 30-day notice before vacating the position. Minke will likely remain the Bemidji city manager until the end of April and is expected to begin his new position in Castle Rock in late May.
Minke was part of the delegation that attended Bemidji Day at the Capitol on Tuesday.
