Mindy Sue Donnell, 34, of Bena, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Deer River. Visitation was held at the Ball Club Community Center.
Burial was in the Fairbanks Cemetery. The Carroll Funeral Home of Deer River assisted the family with arrangements.
She was born June 17, 1973, in Cass Lake. She was raised in Ball Club, Minn., graduated from Deer River High School and was employed at Leech Lake Gaming before becoming a stay-at-home mother. Her hobbies included golfing, bowling, ice fishing, hunting, four-wheeling and playing with her children.
She is survived by husband George Donnell; children, Tony Stangel, Alex Stangel, Macy Stangel and Hannah Fairbanks; step-sons, Benji Swanson, Mike Donnell; step-daughter, Michelle Holthausen; brother, David Fairbanks; sister, Gina (Bob) Campbell; brothers, Benjamin Fairbanks, John Fairbanks, Dustin Fairbanks, Derek Fairbanks; sisters, Dora Fairbanks, Elizabeth Fairbanks; mother, Kathy (Brad) Sheffield and father, Gene (Debbie) Fairbanks; numerous aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews.
