FARGO--Valley News Live meteorologist and agriculture director Mick Kjar has decided to retire after almost 27 years at the TV station.
"He has been a cornerstone in many broadcasts, including the Valley Today Ag Show, The Valley Today morning show and Valley News Live at Noon," the station said Wednesday on its website.
"Mick comes to work before the sun rises to deliver accurate and fun forecasts. Mick is our steady rock, our calm voice during bad weather, and mentor to many through the years."
Kjar's last broadcast is at noon on Sept. 4.
