Mary Rose (Jacobs) Waln, 72, of Bemidji, died on Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at Neilson Place in Bemidji.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the St. Antipas Episcopal Church in Redby with Rev. George Ross officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Redby. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji assisted the family with arrangements.
She was born on Oct. 2, 1934, to Walker and Sally Jacobs, in Red Lake. She grew up in Red Lake. She lived in various places during her life including Sisseton, S.D., Wadena and Bemidji.
She is survived by her children, Carol Hofland, Denise Medicine, Quentin Nelson, Jane Nelson and Lori Nelson; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Waln; parents; son, Donald Jacobs; and all her siblings.
