Manda Laine Utley, 21, of Cass Lake, died on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at Cass Lake Indian Health Services.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Cass Lake American Legion. A visitation will be held from 6-10 p.m. today at the Thomas-Dennis Funeral Home of Cass Lake and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the Legion. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Cass Lake.
She was born on Feb. 19, 1985, to James and Sandra (Pemberton) Utley, in Bemidji. She was raised in Cass Lake and attended Cass Lake public schools. She worked at Dairy Queen and as a personal care aide.
She liked writing poetry and journaling, listening to music, and she also enjoyed computers. She especially loved to spend time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her parents; sister, Mindy Utley (Tate Frazer); one nephew; one niece; maternal grandparents, LeRoy Sr. and Estelle Pemberton; special friend, Thomas Fairbanks; honorary grandmothers, Marge Fredrickson and Shirley Hanson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents and maternal grandmother.
