Mabel Knutson, 91, of Clearbrook, died on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at Clearwater County Memorial Hospital in Bagley.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Clearbrook with Rev. Dan Bowman officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery in Clearbrook. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
She was born on March 21, 1915, to Ole and Ingeborg Geving, in Goodridge, Minn. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Goodridge. She attended school in Goodridge, worked at the Thief River Falls Hospital in laundry and also for a family as a nanny. She married Carl Knutson on Nov. 8, 1941, in Goodridge. He died on Feb. 18, 1991. They spent a winter in California then moved back to Thief River Falls for a few years. They moved to Clearbrook where they have been residents for 60 years.
She was a member of the Seljord Lutheran Church and the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church singing in their choirs and working in their ladies aids. She enjoyed reading, gardening and sewing. She was a good cook and baker and was known for her donuts.
She is survived by her son, David (Sandy) Knutson of Clearbrook; daughter, Karen (Keith) Cook of Mound, Minn.; and two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers and three sisters.
