Court news: Two Bemidji women face drug charges in Becker County

According to court records, just after midnight on March 24, she was pulled over on County Road 21 near Floyd Lake in Detroit Lakes, for a broken tail light. About half a gram of marijuana wax was found in her pocket.

Two Bemidji women have been charged with felony drug offenses in Becker County District Court.

Ashley Dawn Roy, 20 of Bemidji, was charged with felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime.

According to court records, just after midnight on March 24, she was pulled over on County Road 21 near Floyd Lake in Detroit Lakes, for a broken tail light. About half a gram of marijuana wax was found in her pocket.

On March 25 Roy was released without bail, under standard conditions.

A passenger in her vehicle was also charged: Autumn Leigh Alvarado, 23, of Bemidji was charged with felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime. A search of the vehicle turned up a zippered case with Alvarado’s name on it, which held several paper bindles containing a total of a half-gram of meth.

On March 25, Alvarado was also freed without bail, under standard conditions of release. Her next hearing is set for May 23.
