BEMIDJI — A Bemidji school district bus was involved in a minor traffic accident at approximately 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 14.
According to a release from Superintendent Tim Lutz, District Transportation staff responded to the accident site and were able to verify that a car slid through an intersection due to slippery driving conditions and struck the bus at a low speed resulting in minor damage to the bus.
Students from Gene Dillon Elementary and Bemidji Middle School occupied the bus on their way to school at the time of the accident. All students were transferred to another bus to complete their school trip and were screened by Health Office staff upon arrival, the release said.
