Beltrami County Chief Deputy Jarrett Walton recognized for work on public safety committee

Beltrami County Chief Deputy Jarrett Walton was recently recognized by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Emergency Communications Network during its annual conference in Breezy Point.

BEMIDJI — Beltrami County Chief Deputy Jarrett Walton was recently recognized by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Emergency Communications Network during its annual conference in Breezy Point.

"Walton was recognized for his leadership, knowledge, expertise, dedication and hard work as chair of the communications and technology public safety committee that supported the Northern Lights Task Force," a release said.

The Northern Lights Task Force was comprised of 16 northern Minnesota counties, the Minnesota State Patrol, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the release said.
