Let's have some Lumberjack pride. I am writing you this letter because of the old Bemidji High School. I was driving by the old Bemidji High School recently and what I saw made my heart ache. There are windows broken out. Someone has spray painted some type of signs on both front doors.
This old building deserves more respect than that. If the college is not going to use it, then knock it down, but don't let people keep on defacing our old school. I was proud to walk the halls as a student and a staff member.
A message to the people who cannot respect what the old Bemidji High School stands for in our community, please leave the building alone and don't deface it anymore. It does not deserve this type of treatment by you or anyone else. If you like to paint put it on canvas and display it at the art center. We need to be proud of our community, our schools and children, I know I am, but things like this make me wonder what is going on with our children.
