Leech Lake Tribal Council members Tuesday received copies of a report into alleged police wrong-doing.
The report by independent outside investigator Phillip Holquist concludes that allegations by former Leech Lake Police Officer Jim Hansen and Glenn Fisher, a candidate for Leech Lake chairman, were baseless.
Hansen's allegations stated that officers were betting on which officer could arrest the most American Indians, and that Leech Lake Police Chief Steve Day had authorized overtime for officers to sit outside of a bar in order to arrest Leech Lake District III Representative Donald "Mick" Finn for driving while intoxicated.
