The Greater Bemidji Area Joint Planning Commission will convene at 6 p.m. Thursday at Bemidji City Hall for its regular monthly meeting.
Following that meeting, the Joint Planning Board will convene for a special meeting.
A request from The Edgewater Group to amend the Planned Unit Development for the south shore will be discussed at both meetings.
The issue has actually been discussed by both the JPC and JPB already. The JPC on Jan. 28 recommended approval of the PUD amendment.
The JPB was scheduled to consider the JPC's recommendation on Feb. 10, but a letter came from Dan Thul, a hydrologist with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, who noted concerns with the request.

The matter was returned to the JPC's agenda for consideration. And, the JPB decided to hold a special meeting following the JPC's discussion.
The special JPB meeting will be dedicated to The Edgewater Group's request.
However, the JPC is slated to also hold a public hearing on a request from the Vista North Homeowner's Association.
The Homeowner's Association has requested a Conditional use Permit to consolidate two already-existing Common Interest Communities into one. No new development is proposed. If approved the CUP would essentially correct existing conditions and easement locations.
The JPC will also continue its discussion on the annual review of joint planning ordinances and possible amendments.
