Jacqueline Irene (Vich) Berray, 76 of Blackduck, died Sept. 26, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Society in Blackduck.
Funeral services were held Sept. 30 at First Presbyterian Church of Blackduck with the Pastor Donald Bump officiating. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery in Blackduck. Cease Family Funeral Home of Blackduck assisted the family with arrangements.
Honorary pallbearers were Blackduck Tri Sigma, Maxine Beck, Jackie Barclay, Ron Schaefer, Jan Gross and Rob Stomberg.
Active pallbearers were Kevin Stephens, Craig Stephens, Nick Masingill, Jordan Oelke, Matt Masingill, Logan Oelke, Mike Stephens, Jeff Oelke and Rick Masingill.
She was born May 28, 1934 in Waterloo, IA to Milo and Irene (Morgenson) Vich. She graduated from West High School in Waterloo in 1951. She attended Iowa State University where she was proud to be a Kappa Kappa Gamma.

She married her sweetheart, Dick Berray, July 23, 1955 in Waterloo. They worked and lived in various places including Iowa, Illinois and Indiana. They started traveling to Blackduck in the mid-1960s with their family on vacation and retired in Blackduck in 1990.
She did a lot of volunteer work and church work, including Sunday school teaching. She was active in politics in the 1960s and '70s. She was a member of the Blackduck Tri Sigma and P.E.O. She was most proud of her children and the grandchildren. She always had a smile on her face.
She is survived by her husband, Dick Berray of Blackduck; four children, Mike (Karen) Berray of Houston, TX, Deb (Mike) Stephens of Terre Haute, IN, Toni (Rick) Masingill of Rockford, IL and Kathy (Jeff) Oelke of Blackduck; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a brother, Joe (Troyce) Vich of Waterloo, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
