Jack Curtis Kelm, 85, of Bemidji, died on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, N.D.
A funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Evangelical Covenant Church in Bemidji with Rev. Scott Tutt, Rev. William Goodman and Rev. Chris Hess officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home of Bemidji, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and will continue one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the spring in Turtle Lake Township Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Les Petrie, Richard Kelm, Maurice Johnson, Mike Andree, Roy Burgoon, Kevin Holm and Roy Lund.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Jolene Black, Terry Black, Theresa Hendricks, Dwayne Black, Chad Kelm, Kristi Larson, Jason Kelm, Kyle Kelm, Laurie Platt, Wade Thoring, Ron Vold Jr., Jay Vold, Joshua Vold, Travis Kelm, Ashley Kelm, Daniel Schmerbeck, Rob Kelm, Roy Kelm, Shawn Kelm, Carl Kelm, Miciah Medicraft and Leah Kelm.
He was born on July 13, 1921, to Richard and Alvina Kelm, in Liberty Township, Beltrami County. He attended Campbell Lake School. He married Wilma May Burgoon on Nov. 29, 1944. They raised their 10 children on their farm in Liberty Township.

He was a farmer, logger and trucker. He enjoyed neighborhood wiener roasts, moose and deer hunting, and spending time on his John Deere tractor.
He is survived by his wife; children: Judy (Curt) Black, Fred (Peggy) Kelm, Bill (Connie) Kelm, Karen (Bob) Thoring, Marian (Ron) Vold, Willard Kelm, Vickie (Mike) Schmerbeck, Dan (Joy) Kelm, Gary (Trudi) Kelm and Jim Kelm; 22 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank, Hank and Fred: sisters, Dorthy Andree and Arvilla Kelm; a daughter-in-law; and a grandson.
