Inez Evelyn "Mimi" Sharpe, 85 of Laporte, MN, formerly of Richfield, MN, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006 at the Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji.
Memorial Services will be 11:00 am, Sunday- March 5, 2006 at the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji. Interment following cremation will be in the spring at the Farden Township - Farris Cemetery in rural Bemidji, MN.
She was born May 29, 1920 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Nils and Esther Hanson. She was a graduate of Northwestern School of Nursing, RN at Abbott Northwestern and North Country Regional Hospitals, caregiver to thousands of babies. A wife, mother, friend, nurse, who placed the needs of others before her own. "Be nice, talk nice, work hard, be thankful." She lived these words and expected the same. "God has an angel coming home."
She is survived by her sister: Lois Hein of Roswell, New Mexico; Children: Kathy (Bernie) Schumacher of Warba, MN, Scott (Barb) Sharpe of Richfield, MN, Guy (Diane) Sharpe of Laporte, MN and Jay (Lisa) Sharpe of Laporte, MN; Grandchildren: Jared (Doreen), Sara (Bryant), Todd, Jill (Dan), Karin (Steve), Andrew (Shannon), Kirsten and Samuel; Great grandchildren: Gus, Jonah and Cameron.
She was preceded in death by her husband- Wally and sister- Iva.
