BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji Community Food Shelf will host a free ice cream sundae social and give tours of its Farm Project from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 30.
The purpose of the event is to show appreciation to food shelf volunteers and the community for its support, a release said. People will be able to create their own ice cream sundaes, view the new mural and tour the Food Shelf Farm with a staff person.
The Bemidji Community Food Shelf is located east of the Eagles Club at 1260 Industrial Park Drive SE. The event will be held in the garden, which is located off the parking lot on the south side of the facility. In the case of bad weather, the event will move indoors.
