From left are Kenna Kreidermacher, an associate at Office Max, Christina Regas, Office Max store manager and Alvina Morrison, a first-grade teacher at Horace May Elementary School. Morrison was rewarded the "A Day Made Better" national award from Office Max at a surprise all-school assembly Tuesday morning. As part of her award, Morrison received a new office chair, a plaque and $1,000 worth of school supplies for her classroom and the school. According to Horace May Principal Ranae Case Evenson, Morrison was nominated by the school because of her "dedication to students, her personal monetary donations to purchasing books for kids and her life ambition to pass on her love of reading to students."
