BEMIDJI-The Beltrami County Historical Society will once again ring in the new year with a fun event at the history center.
The society will present "The History Mystery" event from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 30, at the history center, 130 Minnesota Ave. SW in downtown Bemidji.
According to a release, the Depot Agent was found murdered at the Great Northern Depot shortly after its grand opening in 1912. Six local historical figures are the prime suspects. "Was it the active socialite? The respectable business man? The postal clerk? Become an Assistant Detective for this live whodunit that combines the classic game of Clue with local history," the release said.
Attendees will enjoy refreshments, interview suspects and explore the Depot to uncover clues to solve the mystery. Prizes will be awarded for first-, second- and third-place. Historical costumes encouraged. Doors open at 4 p.m. and the game starts at 4:30 p.m.
Tickets are $20 for non-members and $15 for members. One ticket for children 12 and younger are free with each paid adult.
