MCINTOSH -- Northern Exposure to Lifelong Learning speaker Roger Hellesvig will tell “An Immigrant’s Tale” at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at the McIntosh Community Center, 115 Broadway St. NW. All ages are welcome. Programs are free but donations are encouraged.
Using an immigrant trunk as the focal point, Hellesvig will describe what it was like to immigrate to Minnesota in the mid 1800s, a press release said. Attendees will also learn a little about the Norwegian culture. The program will be presented in first-person as Hellesvig portrays his great grandfather Ole Oleson.
