BEMIDJI -- Harmony Co-op recently announced its fall class schedule to be held in the co-op’s Community Kitchen, located at 302 Irvine Ave. NW. Participants must register and pay in advance at the customer service desk. Classes fill quickly so early registration is encouraged.
Home Brewing Class: Wine from Scratch will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Mondays on Sept. 14, 21 and Oct. 19. Cost is $35. Participants will learn how to make a batch of apple raspberry and batch of rhubarb raspberry wine from scratch. Robert Forte will guide you through the techniques to make your own wine at home. All participants will take a bottle home with them at the end of class.
Pickling Beets Class will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 29. Cost is $12. Jack Judkins, producer of Juddy's Dill Pickled Asparagus, will teach the art of pickling beets.
Cooking with Sue! will include two separate classes during the fall. The classes will take place at 6 p.m. Oct. 6 and Nov. 12. Each class will cost $15. Sue Doeden will teach a hands-on class feature new recipes and techniques.
