Walz, Flanagan to travel Greater Minnesota on listening tour

ST. PAUL — Gov.-elect Tim Walz and Lt. Gov.-elect Peggy Flanagan set out Thursday, Nov. 29, on a five-day listening tour.

The pair was set to make more than two dozen stops across the state over the weekend in Moorhead, Duluth, Bemidji, Winona and several other towns.

Walz in a statement said the trip is aimed at learning more about what Minnesotans hope to see in the next administration.

“One Minnesota is more than a campaign slogan, it’s a way of governing,” Walz said. “From Luverne to La Crescent to Hallock to Grand Portage, we will travel to all four corners of the state to seek input from Minnesotans on what they hope for from our Administration. When the outcomes of an election turn out differently than someone wished, they tend to feel like their voice won’t matter. That won’t be the case in our administration. Everybody’s voice matters to us.”

Walz and Flanagan are set to be sworn into office in St. Paul Jan. 7.
