Glynda Marie Knutson, 70, of Guthrie, died on Monday, April 16, 2007, at her daughter's home in Becida.

Her family will conduct a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Malvik Lutheran Church in Guthrie. The Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home of Bemidji assisted the family with the arrangements.

She was born on Nov. 24, 1936, to Carl and Nellie (Himmelright) Knutson, in Guthrie. She graduated from Bemidji High School and then moved to Minneapolis where she attended school for accounting. Early in her career, she worked in various banks in the Twin Cities. She also worked for Country Lumber in Becker, Minn., until her retirement when she returned to Guthrie.

Discovering that she was really not ready to retire, she worked for Ace Hardware in Bemidji. In addition to this, she helped prepare taxes at the Senior Center. She did a lot of volunteer work in the Bemidji area. She was a member of Malvik Lutheran Church and the church homemakers' club.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynn (Dennis) Nelson of Becida and Kim (Joe) Bowers of Coon Rapids, Minn.; and seven grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.
