The Bemidji High girls track team turned in another fine showing Friday, taking third place at the Moorhead Invitational.

Fargo South ran away with the title, piling up 200.5 points to 122.5 for Moorhead. Bemidji had 97, beating West Fargo with 90 for third. Red River rounded out the top five in a strong nine team field.

The meet was run in windy, rainy conditions which affected times and distances.

"But we went out and competed well," said coach Chris Lehman. "Kelsey Heisler and Jes Lovering ran excellent races to sweep the distances. It was also nice having Dani Paris and Pearl Walker back from the injury list.

"It was a great start to the outdoor season in spite of the weather."
