The Bemidji High girls basketball team will be out to snap a five-game losing skid tonight when it hosts the Pequot Lakes Huskies at 7:30 at the field house.
Preliminary action begins at 5:45 with the freshmen playing in the auxiliary gymnasium.
The girls have fallen upon hard times since leveling their record at 6-6 with a win at Rocori. Since then they have lost to Brainerd, Moorhead, Sauk Rapids, Cloquet and Little Falls, the last two coming in the final minute of play.
Tonight they hope to carry the lead through all 36 minutes.
Pequot also has had its problems of late, losing six of its last seven starts to drop to 9-9.

Tuesday the Huskies were manhandled by the Esko Eskomoes 67-40.
That equaled a 27-point loss to Detroit Lakes and has been exceeded only by 31 and 35 point setbacks to Crosby. Those four have come within the last six games.
Last year Pequot won at home 55-50 against a Bemidji team that ended 15-1. Lexi Gauwitz with 12 and Brianna Pfremmer with 11 paced Bemidji that night.
They will be in the starting cast tonight along with Ashley Erickson, Liz Judkins and Megan Larson.
Meg Claypool, Kelsey Nelson and Ashley Hirt will provide frequent relief with Ana Molnar likely to see more play after making her varsity debut at Little Falls Saturday.
The 6-3 junior provides an aggressive force inside for rebounding and is a good shooter from the 10 foot range.
The B Team brings an 8-9 mark to its game while the freshmen, whose Tuesday night game with International Falls was cancelled, are still spotless at 11-0.
The Broncos, who bowed 57-17 to Bemidji at home, withdrew from the rematch probably ending the series that was booked as a boys-girls twin bill.
