GF man injured in snowmobile accident near Nevis

BEMIDJI -- A Grand Forks man was transported to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center after being injured in a snowmobile accident early Saturday on the Heartland Trail, about a mile east of Nevis, Minn., the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office said Monday.  

William Zasoski, 66, was heading east on the trail late at about 11 a.m. Saturday when he lost control and hit a tree, suffering an apparent leg injury, officials said. No condition report was available from Sanford Bemidji Medical Center as of Monday afternoon.
