Frazee and Park Rapids successfully defended their titles at the Little Amik-I track meet Thursday.
Frazee kept the boys crown, posting a 26-point victory over Mora in a 14-team field.
Park Rapids retained its girls crown, also beating Mora by 10 points amon5 15 teams.
Bemidji entered a mixture of varsity and JV runners, mostly the latter, and saw its boys finish seventh and its girls take eighth.
Tomorrow the second big school meet will be on tap, the Paul Bunyan Invitational. Action will begin at 1 with the presentations set for 7.

Bemidji will be the defending champion in both divisions.
Skyler Jackson led Frazee to its win, claiming the 55, long jump and triple jump and taking second in the 200 for 38 of the winners points.
It earned him the boys MVP trophy for the meet.
His brother Forrest was another top contributor, winning the 400, taking second in the triple jump, third in the 200 and fourth in the 55 for 28.
Bemidji received 24 from Nate McGriff who won the 200, was second in the long jump and third in the 55.
Casey Orgon was second in the shot and Derek Davis fifth in the high jump.
Austin Dennis took the high jump for WHA and third in the long jump for 16 of the Wolves points. Taylor Knight won the pole vault at 12-6.
A sidelight saw Kellen Noga of Parkers Prairie take second in the 55 and fourth in the triple jump. Noga is the son of former BHS and BSU star John Noga.

Panthers win
Park Rapids piled up 76 points to 66 for Mora in the girls division. Bagley-Fosston was third with 48. Nevis had seven and WHA 1.
MVP honors went to Analisa Huschle of Bagley-Fosston who won the 200, 400 and 4 x 2 relay and was second in the high jump for 30½ of the Flyers points.
Bagley-Fosston also won the 4 x 2 relay and was fourth in the 4 x 8.
Park Rapids won only three events, the 3200, high jump and triple jump but piled up points steadily all day.
For Bemidji, Jessy Bruns was fourth in the 400 and fifth in the 800 for six points.
The team of Abby Hendricks, Ali Hougen and eighth graders Ashley Long and Jenna Sagedahl was second in the 4 x 4 and fifth in the 4 x 2 for another 10.
Hendricks added eight with a second in the hurdles.

Tessa Comstock added the final point with a sixth in the pole vault.
Coaches Chris Lehman and Ryan Aylesworth will have their full crews on hand tomorrow. Probably missing, however, will be Lexi Gauwitz, sidelined with an ankle injury.
