Faith Lutheran Church hosts free corn feed

BLACKDUCK-Faith Lutheran Church of Blackduck will host a free corn feed at 5 p.m. Saturday following the Backwoods Bash, at the Blackduck Wayside Rest and Park Gazebo. There will also be live music by the Battle Fingers.

Christian Women's dinner and dessert meeting

BEMIDJI-Christian Women's dinner and dessert meeting will take at 6 p.m. Monday at Minnesota Nice Cafe, 315 Irvine Ave. NW.

The Free Indeed singing group will be featured, singing many of the old favorite songs and also introducing some new tunes, a release said. Special speaker will be Patty Blackstad-Parker from St. James, Minn. She will be explaining how her life went from wreckage to restoration.

Concert at Hope Lutheran Church in Walker

WALKER-A concert featuring both music and mission experiences will take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Hope Lutheran Church, 305 10th Street S.

Dave Anderson, the founder of Lutheran Youth Encounter, and Roger Waleck, a skilled vocalist, guitarist and worship team leader, will present a concert of contemporary, gospel and old­-time Sunday School music along with Anderson's experiences during his 35 years of music ministry in countries across the world. This special concert is open to the public and all are invited.

David Michael Carrillo concert in Northome

NORTHOME-David Michael Carrillo, musicianary to Latvia will be holding a concert at 7 p.m. Aug. 30 at Hope Lutheran Church, 12234 Third Street in Northome.

Carrillo is an ordained pastor and songwriter who has been a welcomed guest speaker and singer in numerous, churches, conferences, seminars and retreats around the world, according to a release.
