Here is a look at the upcoming events scheduled during the month of April at Lake Bemidji State Park:

April 6 and 7: Maple Syrup, Tap to Table: Collecting and Processing will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, and Sunday, April 7. Early spring is generally the peak of the maple sap flow, but it is affected by weather conditions, a press release said. Join naturalist John Fylpaa to learn how to start a tradition of making maple syrup. Participants will collect and process the sap. Dress to be outdoors with good boots.

April 7: Yoga at the Park will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 7. Participants will practice 55 minutes of fundamental yoga poses in a vinyasa flow format: standing poses, balancing postures, sun salutations, seating and reclining poses, back bends, and core isolation. All levels are welcome. Classes are taught by Angie Gora. Bring a mat if you have one and a few will be available. Free-will donations will support the Friends of Lake Bemidji State Park.

April 13 and 14: Maple Syrup, Tap to Table: Collecting and Processing will be held again from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, and Sunday, April 14.

April 20: Arbor Day Tree Walk will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 20. Celebrate Arbor Day (April 27) with an early walk through the trees. Participants will hike the Rocky Point loop trail, with a focus on individual trees and what can be learned about them with a closer look. Dress for the weather and have good footwear. The hike will start out on a paved trail but return on a narrow, more rugged trail a little further from the lake, about 1 1/4 miles total. Meet at the park office.
