Donations made to area schools

The Northome VFW, Blackduck Firemen's Relief Fund and the Blackduck Lions have made contributions that enabled the school to purchase a hearing screening device that enables preschoolers to be more accurately screened for hearing loss. This equipment will be shared with the Kelliher and Northome schools. The purchase of this device means that the schools will no longer have to rent it, saving money for the schools. Contributions have been made to support the Blackduck Iron Drakes Robotics team who will be competing in the FIRST Robotics Competition Lake Superior Regional March 8-10 in Duluth.
