Donald Roy Fisher, 69, of Bemidji, died on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home of Bemidji with Rev. Dean Nelson officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Bemidji.
Pallbearers will be Steve Miller, David Miller, Jim Miller, Shawn Miller, Zachary Miller and Nick Vircus.
He was born on May 20, 1937, to Lawrence and Stina (Staven) Fisher, in Grafton, N.D. When he was a baby, the family moved to Lengby. When he was 5, they moved to Bemidji. He started school at J. W. Smith School and graduated from Bemidji High School. He joined the U.S. Army, serving four years in Germany. He received an honorable discharge in Bemidji. Later, he started working at Taber's Bait and Tree Service. He worked for Nu-Ply for many years and retired from there.
He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, canoeing, snowmobiling, his sled dogs and playing his guitar.

He is survived by his sister, Lois (Louis) Miller of Bemidji; five nephews, two great-nephews, one great-niece, a sister-in-law, and step-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; mother; brother, Glen; and a nephew.
