BEMIDJI -- An Ace Race to introduce participants to the sport of disc golf will take place at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 29 at the Bemidji City Park Disc Golf Course. Each participant will receive a player pack and will play two rounds of disc golf, but instead of keeping score, the only goal is to throw aces, or holes-in-one. Holes will be shortened, and everyone is throwing the same disc: a Discraft prototype disc that is easy to throw and developed just for the event.
