Dennis Holm, 68, of Leonard, died on Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Clearwater County Memorial Hospital in Bagley.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Leonard with Rev. Dan Bowman officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Norway Lake Cemetery in Leonard. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
He was born on May 20, 1937, to Paul and Agnes (Melhus) Holm in Clearbrook. He attended District 27 Country School in Holst Township and graduated from Clearbrook High School in 1955. He attended Bemidji State College and graduated with a teaching degree in 1965.
He married Pauline Ambuehl on Feb. 11, 1961, in Clearbrook. He taught in Milaca public schools for 11 years. They moved back to the Leonard area in 1977. He was a well driller for 33 years, having his own business called "Holm's Well Drilling."
In 2000, he retired and he and his wife enjoyed traveling. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Leonard and was on the Clover Township Board. He was a former board member and past president of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding ATVs and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of Leonard; son, Anthony (Rita) Holm of Whiting, N.J.; brother, Orlin (Mary Lou) Holm of Bagley; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and two grandchildren and one step-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Phyllis Wiltse.
